Prepared for the needs of the European Directorate for Culture and Education, this study considers the impact of creative and cultural sector on growth and cohesion of the Europe, taking into account the existing socio-economic context, globalization and unstopping expansion of information technologies. The study represents the concrete step in order to cover direct and indirect socio-economic impacts of the sector of culture in Europe, estimating its contribution in the implementation of the Lisbon agenda, especially in terms of achievement of the economic growth, creating the higher number of better jobs, sustainable development and innovations.
