The ideas which are supported through the programme of the Ministry of Culture ‘Creative Montenegro’ were awarded with ‘BIG SEE’, awarded by the Slovenian Association ‘Stamp Office’. These are the projects ‘Solar Bench’ by Marija Bojovic and ‘Pasara Wooden Boat’ by the workshop ‘Plaforma’ or by Vitomir Vujovic. Both projects were awarded in the ‘BIG SEE Wood’ category.

The aforementioned awards are also a great recognition of the Creative Montenegro program, under which the Ministry of Culture supported 11 young Montenegrin authors, in an effort to present the ideas of artists to the domestic and wider market.

Just to recall, author Marija Bojovic presented the first Montenegrin solar bench – a product that has already made its way to the market and is part of a mobile phone shop in several locations in Montenegro. On the other hand, the Plaforma workshop, which deals with the production of traditional boats, is not only supported as a creative idea, but also as a project in the sphere of the intangible heritage of Montenegro.

The Creative Montenegro program will soon be followed by the announcement of a second call for proposals, with an even larger budget to be allocated to the authors of ideas in the field of creative industries. Every year, projects from 19 Southeast European countries apply for ‘BIG SEE’ awards, from different design fields.
