Cultural and creative industries are one of the fastest growing sectors and they are the main drivers of the progress of the economies of the developed countries, representing a significant source of income and employment. In addition to the economic benefits of cultural and creative industries, they contribute to human, inclusive and sustainable development.
Recognizing the importance of this sector, the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development has been implementing the project “Developing cultural and creative industries into a viable economic sector in Montenegro”, which was supported by UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity.
The goal of the project is to contribute to strengthening the sector of cultural and creative industries through the mapping of these industries, estimation the economic effects, identifying best practices, improving business skills of entrepreneurs in this sector, and drafting a proposal for a strategic framework for the development of creative industries in the upcoming years.
